The guides in this archive are the practical backbone of Helios Club. They are written for visitors who want to plan a good night out in Las Vegas without guesswork. We are an independent journal: we do not sell or resell tickets, take no bookings and have no ties to any venue, team or promoter.

Picking a show

Choosing a Resident Show explains how long-running Las Vegas productions work and how to choose between them. Comedy and Magic Nights covers smaller, more intimate rooms, while Las Vegas Shows for Families is for groups with younger viewers. For big rooms, read Arena Concert Tips, and for the city's most unusual venue, A Night at the Sphere.

Tickets and seats

Two guides we recommend reading before any purchase: Buying Show Tickets Safely, which explains why the venue's box office or official outlet is the only source we suggest, and Seat Maps Explained, which helps you judge sightlines and sections.

Sport

Game Day in Las Vegas covers football, hockey, fights and baseball, with links to the venues involved.

Getting around and staying cool

Getting Around the Strip looks at walking distances, the 3.9-mile Monorail and other options. Beating the Desert Heat is essential reading for summer, when the average July high is about 104.5 °F.

Beyond the Strip

Downtown and Fremont Street explores the older heart of the city and its light canopy, and Days Out Off the Strip includes ideas such as Red Rock Canyon, about 15 miles west.

A suggested reading order

New to Las Vegas? Read the show guides first to decide what kind of night you want, then the ticket and seat guides before you spend anything, and finally the transport and heat guides the day before you go. That order saves the most time and avoids the most common mistakes.

Where to go next
